E. Honda was one of the original eight playable World Warriors introduced in the arcade version of Street Fighter II in 1991. The character brought sumo wrestling into the game's international lineup of fighting styles and became famous for attacks such as the Hundred Hand Slap and his powerful headbutt.
His full name is Edmond Honda, and much of his character revolves around his determination to demonstrate the strength and legitimacy of sumo wrestling to audiences around the world.
