Did You Know?
The 2005 Ford GT was created as a modern tribute to Ford's legendary GT40, the race car that achieved four consecutive overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1966 through 1969.
The famous Gulf blue-and-orange racing colors became closely associated with the GT40 through Gulf-sponsored competition cars, including the GT40 that won Le Mans in both 1968 and 1969.
That heritage makes the Gulf treatment especially fitting on a modern Ford GT. Although this Jada model represents the later 2005 Ford GT rather than an original 1960s GT40 race car, its colors evoke one of the most celebrated chapters in Ford's motorsport history.
