Revisit one of Formula One's most memorable seasons with this Toleman TG184 #20 Johnny Cecotto 1984 Monaco Grand Prix 1:64 scale diecast model by Mini GT.
Driven by Venezuelan racer Johnny Cecotto, the #20 Toleman TG184 competed during Toleman's breakthrough 1984 Formula One season. This limited-edition Mini GT model recreates the distinctive open-wheel Grand Prix car in compact 1:64 scale and includes a driver figure, making it an excellent addition for Formula One, motorsport, and historic racing collectors.
Features:
The Toleman TG184 is remembered for its role in one of the most famous races of the 1984 Formula One season—the rain-soaked Monaco Grand Prix.
Toleman was still a relatively young Formula One team at the time, having entered the championship only a few years earlier. The TG184 represented an important step forward for the team and competed with a turbocharged four-cylinder Hart engine during an era when turbo technology was transforming Formula One.
Venezuelan driver Johnny Cecotto raced the #20 Toleman alongside his young teammate Ayrton Senna. Cecotto had already enjoyed an unusual motorsport career: before reaching Formula One, he was a highly successful motorcycle racer and became a world motorcycle racing champion.
The 1984 Monaco Grand Prix ultimately became famous for Senna's remarkable drive in the other Toleman TG184. Starting 13th, Senna charged through the wet conditions toward race leader Alain Prost before the event was stopped early because of deteriorating conditions. Senna finished second, a performance that helped establish his reputation as an extraordinary wet-weather driver.
That makes the TG184 more than an attractive vintage Formula One car—it represents an important moment in the history of both Toleman Motorsport and 1980s Formula One.
